Leap of Faith
I had been photographing Big Horned Sheep on the steep rugged cliffs in Arizona for several days when I got this shot of an alpha male leaping across a wide gap of rugged boulders. These cliffs were quite steep and more that once my heart stopped as he made his way across the treacherous terrain to the sound of loose gravel falling some two hundred feet or so to the canyon floor. It was an impressive display of strength, power and agility. I estimated it to be some thirty feet or so from one edge to the other and he made it look easy! I don’t think there was any doubt in his mind that he would make it. He had “Faith” in his ability. A good lesson for all of us who face a challenge in life. Don’t doubt your ability to take a risk or accept a challenge. Have the confidence to take that leap of faith!
