The Pacific coast is backed by rolling hills covered in vegetation varying from arid desert to Mediterranean-style scrub and luxuriant forest. Tumbling down to the shoreline, these cliffs and hills harbor many horseshoe coves and beaches of white to ochre sands. The waves on the Pacific coast have a long way to come, and these rollers are much beloved by surfers. The Oaxaca shoreline around Huatulco and Puerto Escondido is particularly spectacular, with stretches of virgin beach. This is where I took this photo on a windy, partly cloudy day. The sound of the waves crashing against the rugged cliffs, the coolness of the wind coming off the ocean and the beauty of the volcanic sand gave me the feeling I was at the very edge of the world!

The acrylic print is then attached to a DiBond Backing system, which takes black styrene and sandwiches it between two thin aluminum sheets, giving the print added protection and weight. Included with the order is a cleat hanger, which floats the image 3/4” from the wall.
